The role and responsibilities of the Process Owner/Engineer

The fundamental role of the process owner is to develop and execute plans for the control and improvement of critical product attributes and for the increase of manufacturing capacity in support of marketing’s sales efforts.

Specifically, the main objective of the process owner is to ensure that the OEE

 target be achieved and maintained for each asset as required by the overall business plan. 

The process owner shall be guided by an unwavering desire to achieve conditions of predictability and repeatability for his/her process in order to facilitate the business planning process.

The process owner will meet targets by the synergistic application of effort and knowledge. The process owner will continuously seek opportunities for increasing his/her knowledge of pertinent technologies and for mastering analytical skills for the collection and interpretation of key process data.

The process owner shall also ensure that all equipment and required operational procedures are inherently safe.
